For the last two years, Our Future First has held a Back to School Shoe Drive to make sure that the youth in our community have a nice pair of shoes to wear when the school year starts. The idea for our shoe drive came from our first Innovation Hour cohort and we are incredibly excited to see the event continue for the third straight year.
Last year, we collected and distributed over 400 pairs of both new and gently worn shoes to our youth. There is nothing like going back to school in a brand new pair of kicks, so this year, we're focusing on purchasing as many pairs of new shoes as possible.
